Litigation Support Specialist

We are looking for a skilled Litigation Support Specialist to provide essential assistance to our legal team. This role involves comprehensive support to meet the attorneys' operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage both incoming and outgoing communications
- Oversee the handling of mail
- Initiate Personal Injury cases, which includes drafting initial client correspondence, procuring medical documentation, and organizing case files
- Gather and maintain vital information for each case, including liaising with clients for necessary documents such as death certificates and autopsy reports, ensuring timely follow-up
- Prepare and dispatch medical records and x-ray films to expert witnesses
- Draft Affidavits for expert review
- Conduct interviews with expert witnesses
- Address Pre-suit Discovery requests
- Respond to Interrogatories
- Coordinate Hearings and prepare requisite documentation for these sessions (e.g., Motion to Compel hearings)
- Assist in Trial Preparation, including logistics for trial attendance
- Provide monthly updates on trial status to the department
- Manage all scheduling tasks, including telephonic conferences with experts, clients, and pre-deposition meetings
- Create actionable To-Do lists
- Maintain an updated calendar
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in litigation
- Thorough understanding of federal and state laws, court regulations, forms, processes, and procedures
- Experience in responding to discovery requests and preparing for trials and mediations
- Ability to summarize depositions and medical records effectively
- Exceptional organizational skills, strong grammar, and ability to meet deadlines
- Capability to thrive in a dynamic environment while managing a substantial caseload
