Audiology Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Audiology Assistant to join our team at Monument Health. As an Audiology Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the efficiency and productivity of our audiology practice.
Your responsibilities will include providing follow-up hearing aid care, participating in outreach programs, and assisting with various clerical and administrative tasks. You will also be trained to perform duties other than traditional audiological responsibilities to ensure continuity of operations throughout Monument Health.
As an Audiology Assistant, you will work closely with our Audiologists to provide assistance in the evaluation and treatment of patients with hearing and balance difficulties. Your key role will be to support the Audiologist by carrying out routine tasks, allowing them to focus on assessing and treating patients who require a higher level of diagnostic skill.

Essential Functions:- Maintain audiology office and test equipment, organize and order supplies, and manage daily schedules to ensure an efficient clinic.
- Clean multi-patient use audiological supplies and devices and disinfect booths, chairs, transducers, etc.
- Counsel patients on care and use of their devices and troubleshoot patient equipment issues, including hearing aids, cell phones, and accessory devices.
- During patient visits, clean and test hearing aids, change tubing, and perform basic repairs of hearing aids and submit repair orders when necessary.
- Audiology Assistants should not perform diagnostic evaluations or screenings or program/re-program hearing aids unless working under the licensure of an Audiologist as part of an audiology certification program.
- Education - High School Diploma/GED Equivalent
- Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
