The Clinical Decision Unit is a dynamic and fast-paced environment where you will have the chance to work with diverse populations of observation and med/surg patients. Our team is passionate about delivering exceptional care and making a positive impact on our patients' lives.
As a RN Resident, you will participate in a comprehensive residency program that includes a core curriculum tailored to your individual learning needs. You will work closely with a success coach to provide direct nursing care and establish priorities for patient care. You will also be responsible for responding to data indicating risk to patients' health and initiating action to correct, reduce or prevent risk.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong foundation in nursing principles and practices. You will also need to be able to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
We are looking for a RN Resident who is eager to learn and grow with our organization. If you are a new graduate RN or have less than one year of RN work experience, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs.
- Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach.
- Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care (acuity of need, patient preference and resource availability).
- Respond to data indicating risk to patients' health and initiate action to correct, reduce or prevent risk.
- Seek supervision, consultation and assistance when unable to perform safely and independently.
- Document in patients' medical records.
Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN).
