The Clinical Decision Unit provides care to diverse populations of observation and med/surg patients. Our team is known for their great teamwork and quick patient turnover. In 2023, the CDU achieved their goal of eliminating any central line or foley infections through consistent and thorough care.
A successful caregiver in this role will participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs, provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach, and establish and/or revise priorities for patient care. They will also respond to data indicating risk to patients' health and initiate action to correct, reduce or prevent risk.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include a graduate degree from an accredited school of professional nursing, current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN), and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA). Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
