About the CVUThe CVU provides care to post-open heart surgery patients, with a focus on exceptional patient care, low readmission rates, and high patient satisfaction ratings. Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to patients in the CVU
- Implement, monitor, evaluate, update, and revise patient care plans
- Monitor, record, document, and communicate patients' conditions
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders
- Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs
- Educate patients and their families
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- One year of current acute care RN experience
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
