Job Summary

Pattern Energy Group is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead the development and construction of wind and solar farms across the United States. The successful candidate will provide technical support and project management oversight for the construction of these projects, ensuring they are completed on schedule and within budget.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical due diligence of wind, solar, and transmission projects during the development and construction phase.
  • Review construction documents for completeness and compliance with utility interconnect agreements, power purchase agreements, land lease agreements, environmental permits, and good industry practice.
  • Collaborate with Pattern's preconstruction and development groups to develop, solicit, and award construction services for various projects.
  • Negotiate and administer construction contracts with EPC contractors, construction management entities, equipment suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure the timely delivery of major equipment and coordinate with interconnect utilities to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Manage a team of professionals and work collaboratively with various stakeholders to achieve project goals.

Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in the power industry with significant wind energy experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or construction management with a strong focus on electrical.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and resolve multiple issues on multiple projects under demanding schedule constraints.
  • Knowledge of construction contract concepts, language, and terms.
  • Facility with typical computer software (Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint).
