Job Title: LPN

Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, we are seeking a skilled LPN to provide high-quality nursing care to our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and a passion for working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing care to clients, ensuring they receive optimum, quality, cost-effective care.
  • Promote a professional atmosphere, fostering cooperation, respect, and dignity in all interactions with clients, families, and colleagues.
  • Facilitate the orderly performance of agency functions by adhering to policies and standards of conduct.
  • Assist clients in following prescribed plans of care.
  • Administer medication in accordance with policy and procedures.
  • Monitor clients for signs of intoxication and medication side effects, notifying the Nurse Manager or designee immediately.
  • Maintain accurate records of medication received and dispensed.
  • Document and maintain client medical records, adhering to institutional and regulatory agency mandates.
  • Perform tasks and responsibilities within the scope of practice, serving as a role model for staff and clients.
  • Participate in job training and education programs, meetings, and committees.
  • Attend mandatory in-service annually and participate in seminars to further professional development.

Requirements:
  • Current NYS LPN License
  • Current NYS Infection Control Certificate
  • Minimum one year experience as an LPN, preferably in a substance abuse treatment program
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to interact effectively with all populations served
  • Ability to speak, read, and write the English language
  • Proficiency with computers

Setting:
This position requires the ability to possess sight and digital senses or prosthetics that will enable the essential functions of the job to be completed.
