About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Field Mechanic to join our team in Corona, NM. As a Field Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing trucks and heavy equipment, as well as performing engine repairs and maintenance. You will also be responsible for welding on heavy equipment and vehicles, and performing safety inspections.



The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in welding and mechanics. You will also need to have a Class A CDL and your own tools. If you are a motivated and detail-oriented individual who is comfortable working in an outdoor environment, we encourage you to apply.



Responsibilities
  • Inspect and maintain trucks and heavy equipment
  • Perform engine repairs and maintenance
  • Weld on heavy equipment and vehicles
  • Perform safety inspections
  • Inspect and maintain transmission systems
  • Make necessary repairs to hydraulic and air brakes
  • Repair and maintain HVAC systems
  • Make electrical repairs
  • Perform oil changes as needed
  • Maintain a clean work area, tools, and equipment

Requirements
  • 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Welding and mechanics background
  • Class A CDL
  • Own tools
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to manage a schedule and organize time
  • Willing to travel
  • Experience with heavy diesel repair and maintenance
  • Experience with hydraulic and electrical repairs
  • Knowledge of fuel systems; both diesel and gas
  • Ability to perform electrical diagnostics using a scanner
  • Experience with Ford 6.7 Diesel and GM 6.6 Duramax (Preferred)
  • Safety Inspection certified (Preferred)
  • Management experience (Preferred)
  • Diesel mechanic certified (Required)
