We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Development Engineer in Test to join our team at Recharge Payments. As a key member of our QA group, you will play a critical role in maintaining high-quality software products through automated testing pipelines, manual feature testing, and product reliability monitoring.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a foundational product that forms the core of our merchant experience. You will collaborate with fellow engineers and product counterparts to develop products, develop automation tests, review merge requests, and mentor junior SDETs.

As a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test, you will have a meaningful impact on our business as we grow. You will be responsible for:

  • Developing automation tests to monitor and maintain the health of Recharge product features as our codebase changes over time
  • Reviewing merge requests and pairing with engineers to understand and review code as shipped
  • Mentoring more junior SDETs and being part of on-call rotations as needed to support our products
  • Applying your own knowledge and experience to work through engineering challenges
About You

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Typically, 5+ years of relevant software development experience across Python, Nodejs, JavaScript, and/or TypeScript.
  • Experience working within different automated testing frameworks, including Playwright, TestCafe, or a comparable E2E testing framework.
  • Familiarity with micro-service architecture.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or other STEM-related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Prior e-commerce experience preferred.
  • Prior experience with analytics or other time-series data products preferred.
