Key Responsibilities:
  • Front Desk Operations: Serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing a warm and welcoming experience while handling incoming calls, directing clients/patients, and managing the flow of visitors.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule appointments for new and existing patients, adhering to proper scheduling procedures and protocols, and ensuring timely confirmations.
  • Interpretation Services: Manage the scheduling of interpretation services for non-English speaking patients, confirming appointments the day prior to ensure seamless communication.
  • Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Accurately check in/out patients, verify demographics and healthcare information, and capture necessary referral details for new patient referrals.
  • Administrative Support: Screen visitors, manage incoming medical documentation, route calls to designated areas, and retrieve packages and mailings as needed.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in writing and verbally.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
  • Attention to detail and computer efficiency required.
  • Experience with EMR systems strongly preferred.
  • Excellent typing and editing/proofreading skills highly desired.
  • Sensitivity toward cultural diversity, people living with HIV/AIDS, and lifestyle and addiction issues essential.
