ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

The Sales Engineer for Technical Solutions plays a crucial role in fostering outstanding client relationships at Jensen Precast. You will engage with engineering firms and public sector organizations to shape construction standards and specifications that enhance Jensen Precast's competitive edge.

Reporting directly to the Technical Sales Manager, you will collaborate with sales, engineering, and production teams.

Your daily responsibilities will include:
  • Driving branch sales by generating favorable opportunities and bid results through the provision of product solutions that highlight our competitive strengths.
  • Promoting Jensen Precast product offerings to key decision-makers, including civil, electrical, geotechnical, and mechanical engineering firms, select architectural firms, public agencies, utilities, and end-users.
  • Connecting target audiences with Jensen Precast solutions through outreach, in-person meetings, targeted technical presentations, participation in trade events, and maintaining regular contact with key stakeholders.
  • Understanding and communicating Jensen Precast's engineering and manufacturing capabilities, quality assurance, and technical specifications.
  • Assisting engineers and end-users in specifying Jensen Precast products through educational initiatives, speaking engagements, and providing detailed preliminary cost assessments.
  • Acting as a trusted industry advisor frequently consulted by principals and design engineers, assisting their teams in product specification and design.
  • Working closely with Corporate Engineering, Sales, Product Managers, Marketing, and Operations to execute marketing strategies, create product specifications, preliminary budget estimates, case studies, and develop promotional materials to enhance market opportunities.
  • Tracking and reporting on performance metrics.
  • Setting and achieving project goals related to specifications, projected revenue, volume, and profit margins in collaboration with management.
IDEAL CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate is enthusiastic and driven in a dynamic environment. You possess a solid understanding of technical sales methodologies and a dedication to customer engagement. A commitment to continuous learning is essential, along with a formal education background (Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management with a Construction Document Technologist (CDT) accreditation preferred) and at least three years of experience in outside sales, including familiarity with sales and customer service software (CRM).
