Role Responsibilities:

  • Observe and assist students with behavioral challenges, ensuring they feel included and supported in classroom activities.
  • Collaborate with the lead teacher to implement engaging center activities and facilitate student participation.
  • Utilize de-escalation techniques and Pro Act Restraints when necessary, maintaining a calm and supportive environment.
  • Encourage creativity and play through interactive games and projects, promoting a positive classroom atmosphere.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and parents to ensure a cohesive approach to student support.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working with students who exhibit challenging behaviors.
  • Energetic and enthusiastic, with a passion for engaging students in play and learning.
  • Ability to assist students with diverse learning needs and help them navigate academic challenges.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
  • Physical capability to actively engage with students in various activities.

Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience and qualifications.

Work Schedule: Monday to Thursday from 8 AM to 3 PM, and Friday from 8 AM to 1 PM, with optional after-school hours available.
