Medical Office LPN Gastroenterology Department- Norwalk, CT

We are seeking a skilled LPN to join our Gastroenterology Department in Norwalk, CT. As a Medical Office LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our team of healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities- Prepare patients for medical exams and assist physicians or APRNs with patient care.
- Collect and analyze patient specimens as directed by physicians or APRNs.
- Provide direct patient care, including injections and medication administration.
- Instruct patients and families on preventive care, medication management, and test preparation.
- Communicate with patients via phone to provide follow-up, test results, and physician instructions.
- Document patient information in our electronic medical record system.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of starting.
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification.
- Licensed Practical Nurse licensure.
- Basic medical knowledge and terminology.
- Computer skills and data entry experience.
- Minimum one year of experience as an LPN.
- Proficiency in multiple languages.
- Phlebotomy and EKG skills.
This is a sedentary/light effort position with little to no potential for occupational risk. The working environment is generally pleasant.
