Medical Office Nurse Practitioner OBGYN Department- Norwalk, CT

We are seeking a skilled Medical Office Nurse Practitioner to join our OBGYN department in Norwalk, CT. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support our physicians and APPs in delivering exceptional medical services.
Responsibilities- Assist physicians and APPs in providing medical care to patients, including preparing materials, supplies, and equipment for exams and procedures.
- Obtain patient histories, vital signs, and medical data, and provide direct patient care, including assisting with gynecological exams and procedures, wound care, and suture removal.
- Collect, prepare, and analyze patient specimens as directed by physicians or APPs.
- Instruct patients and families on preventive care, medication, and treatment plans.
- Triage clinical issues and communicate with providers and patients.
- Communicate with patients and care team members to identify barriers to care and facilitate patient care.
- Track and order medical supplies for the office.
- Perform organizational responsibilities to achieve the Practice's and NHMP's missions through total quality improvement.
- Fulfill compliance responsibilities related to the position.
- Demonstrate regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.
- Maintain and model Nuvance Health Foundational Values.
- CT RN License
- Previous experience in gynecologic or surgical practices preferred.
- Medical knowledge and terminology.
- Computer skills/data entry (including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Knowledge of insurance contracts and requirements.
This role requires significant manual skills, motor coordination, and finger dexterity. Some occupational risk is involved, and medium to heavy effort may be exerted, up to 35 lbs. force. Generally pleasant working conditions are expected.
