Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the credit underwriting and ongoing portfolio management functions for Structured Derivatives and Lending exposures booked within the Global Commodities line of business.
  • Review and potentially challenge all elements of transactions, including structure, collateral, and cashflow stress analysis.
  • Participate in the deal screening, term negotiation, diligence, and credit committee process.
  • Exercise credit approval authority for amendment/waiver/renewal/extension activity.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of credit approval memos, including quantitative and qualitative analysis.
Requirements:
  • 5-8 years of experience in financial services, with relevant prior experience in credit risk management, credit underwriting, structuring, loan origination, or public rating agencies.
  • Strong analytical skills, personal drive, individual initiative, a sense of urgency, and responsiveness.
  • Strong organizational, oral, and written communication skills, with ability to communicate effectively with all levels of risk, support, and business partners.
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with ability to quickly learn new programs and applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Formal Credit training at a major bank.
  • Proficiency with Bloomberg.
  • Strong knowledge of the related natural gas, metals & mining, midstream & downstream, and power industries and related products.
