The Director of Corporate Communication is a newly established role tasked with crafting and implementing a cohesive corporate communication strategy that aligns with 10x's mission, strategic objectives, and critical business priorities. This essential position will collaborate with Human Resources, Marketing, and various functional teams to engage, inform, and inspire employees while enhancing the company's external image through proactive media and public relations initiatives.

This position requires hands-on involvement, strategic foresight, and effective execution. The ideal candidate will be innovative, collaborative, and results-oriented.

This role presents a unique opportunity to influence the narrative of a pioneering organization dedicated to advancing human health through innovative technologies. This is an individual contributor role reporting directly to the Vice President of Corporate Communication. Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Development and Implementation:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design and execute a comprehensive corporate communication strategy that supports and promotes the company's mission and key business objectives.
  • Regularly evaluate the corporate communication strategy, messaging, channels, and processes to discover and implement innovative ways to communicate the 10x story both internally and externally.
  • Work alongside senior leaders and functional teams to create and consistently deliver engaging content for various internal and external audiences.

Internal Communication Management:

  • Oversee, implement, and enhance established internal communication channels to keep employees informed and engaged, including company-wide communications, newsletters, and meetings.
  • Develop, launch, and maintain new communication platforms and processes to consistently engage employees with our mission and progress.
  • Design and coordinate employee communication initiatives and campaigns that support the company's mission, strategy, culture, and objectives, including significant company announcements.
  • Advise senior leaders on effective communication strategies based on a thorough understanding of organizational dynamics.
  • Consult with the Human Resources team on HR-related communications and initiatives.

External Communication and Media Relations:

  • Formulate and implement a proactive public relations strategy to enhance 10x's brand and reputation while increasing awareness of our mission and innovations.
  • Create and manage press releases, media outreach, talking points, and other materials to effectively communicate the company's narrative through various channels.
  • Collaborate closely with Corporate and Product Marketing to support major brand initiatives and product launches.
  • Work with agency partners to build and maintain relationships with key media outlets, journalists, and industry influencers to secure favorable coverage and manage company news flow.

Content Development and Management:

  • Stay informed about company developments and industry trends to find timely and engaging ways to share news both internally and externally.
  • Produce written materials such as presentations, key messages, FAQs, and more.
  • Train and guide company representatives; prepare communication materials for senior leaders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communication, English, or a related field is required.
  • Over 10 years of experience in communications (internal and/or external), preferably within a global public company. Experience in Life Sciences is advantageous.
  • Proven leadership presence and experience in advising and building trusted relationships with C-level executives.
  • Demonstrated success in media relations, crisis communication, and reputation management.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a strong attention to detail and the ability to tailor messages for diverse audiences.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a high sense of urgency.
  • Strategic thinker passionate about developing and executing integrated communication plans that support business goals.
  • Ability to see the larger picture and connect various organizational elements to maximize impact.
  • Cross-functional experience with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
