Job Summary

The Mechanical Engineer PE I applies standard engineering techniques to design, analyze, test, maintain, repair, or improve products, components, or assemblies. This role is responsible for signing and sealing engineering documents, analyzing and developing systems, and improving and maintaining current systems or creating brand new projects.

Responsibilities
  • Designs and drafts blueprints, visits systems in the field, and manages projects.
  • Applies engineering techniques and analyses within the scope of the assignment.
  • Performs work under general supervision.
  • Handles complex issues and problems, and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering and Professional Engineer License (PE) required. 4-6 years of experience in a related field. Possesses working knowledge of the subject matter, critical thinking skills, problem-solving skills, math skills, computer skills, technical expertise, effective verbal and written communication skills, detail-oriented, and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment

This role requires 5-10% travel to job site(s)/office location. The physical work environment includes ascending and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and/or poles, climbing stairs, moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces, repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers, operating machinery and/or power tools, outdoor elements such as precipitation, heat, cold, and/or wind, noisy environment, light to heavy work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects from pounds.
