The Physician Assistant will assist and monitor the day-to-day needs of patients under the supervision of a physician. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience and preferably orthopedic experience.
Key Responsibilities- Obtain accurate patient histories and present information to the supervising physician.
- Chart patient information via written, dictation, or electronic means.
- Prescribe medications under the supervision of a licensed physician.
- Assist in the operating room and procedure room as needed.
- Manage post-procedure patient care and start IVs, insert foley catheters, and order transfusions.
- Exhibit organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Participate in research trials and identify patient needs.
- Successful completion of an approved physician assistant program.
- Physician Assistant License and Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification.
This is a per diem position with a standard 12 hours per week and weekend work as needed.
