Specific Job Duties:

  • Manage all areas of the restaurant, making final decisions on guest service issues.
  • Investigate and resolve food quality and service complaints, communicating with guests and employees to solve problems.
  • Inspect dining areas, food receiving, preparation, production, and storage areas to ensure health and safety regulations are being followed.
  • Supervise cleaning and maintenance of equipment, arranging for repairs and contracts as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment, ensuring good safety practices among employees and guests.
  • Coordinate scheduling of departments and ensure accurate data entry.
  • Participate in store-level events and initiatives, and follow all federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

Financial Management:

  • Verify receipt of all orders, ensuring correct quantities and pricing.
  • Review financial information, monitoring budgets and taking action to prevent deviation from budget.
  • Adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs.
  • Ensure accurate completion of financial and employee-related administrative duties.

Employee Development:

  • Provide direction to employees on operational and procedural issues.
  • Interview, select, and hire hourly employees.
  • Conduct new hire orientations, train employees on mission, culture, and guest experience objectives.
  • Develop employees through ongoing feedback, performance expectations, and performance reviews.

Requirements:

  • One to three years of management-level hospitality and/or restaurant work experience required.
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent preferred.
  • Proficiency in food planning and preparation, purchasing, sanitation, security, personnel management, recordkeeping, and report preparation.
  • Previous experience in teppanyaki-style restaurants preferred.
  • Knowledge of computers (MS Word, Excel) and a valid driver's license where applicable.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States and agree to a background check.
  • ServSafe certified alcohol service certification preferred.
