Position Summary

As a Traveling/Resource Retail Food Service Manager, you will oversee the retail operations of Food & Nutrition Services within a healthcare system, providing support during new business openings and filling in for staffing shortages.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and manage special events, maintain financial controls, and oversee the recruitment and training of hourly staff.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and uphold public relations through effective resource management.
  • Guide staff to deliver retail services in line with corporate policies and presentation standards.
  • Train team members in customer service, portion control, cashier operations, and safety protocols.
  • Complete all required reports on time, adhering to corporate policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, patients, and their families.
  • Implement cash handling standards to prevent theft of services or company funds.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • B.S. Degree in Food Services Technology/Management or a related field; or an A.A. Degree with three years of relevant experience.
  • One to three years of experience in retail food service management preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of food trends, quality control, sanitation, and cost management.
  • Experience with P&L accountability and contract-managed services is advantageous.
  • Background in cash retail operations and retail marketing is desirable.
  • Demonstrated leadership, management, and coaching abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in financial practices and computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
