Position Summary

We are currently seeking a Traveling/Resource Patient Food Services Manager to oversee our Patient Services Team within a large healthcare system, assisting with new business openings and filling in for staff vacancies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set objectives and manage the execution of patient food service requirements based on medical guidance and patient demographics.
  • Recruit, lead, mentor, train, and develop members of the patient service team.
  • Adhere to dietary restrictions for special or modified diets to ensure food preferences align with dietary guidelines.
  • Ensure patient services personnel contribute to achieving established patient satisfaction targets.
  • Comply with regulatory standards from federal, state, and accrediting bodies while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
  • Engage in and lead patient satisfaction initiatives, departmental meetings, and quality assurance programs.
Qualifications:
  • Associate degree with at least one year of experience in food services or a related field, or a bachelor's degree in food service technology/management or a related discipline.
  • Preferred certifications include Certified Dietary Manager, Registered Diet Technician, or Registered Dietitian.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in food service management, ideally in an acute care environment.
  • ServSafe certification is desirable.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, electronic medical records, and diet office systems.
