Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at FUJIFILM Sonosite. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for planning and executing technical projects involving the design, fabrication, modification, and evaluation of components for our high-performance transducers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct independent technical investigations utilizing mechanical engineering principles to originate or modify material, component, or process specifications and requirements.
  • Prepare design specifications, analyses, and recommendations for presentation and approval.
  • Lead and/or collaborate with other groups/team members to meet schedule and project demands.
  • Develop NPI packaging methods, such as injection molded housings, lensing design, and methodology for various transducers.
  • Improve the thermal efficiency of new and/or existing transducers.
  • Track daily progress of samples/experiments and provide accurate updates.
  • Maintain lab efficiency, test equipment, and supplies in an orderly and professional manner.
Requirements
  • B.S. Mechanical engineering, M.S. or PhD in related engineering discipline preferred.
  • Seven or more years of product development experience, with at least five years designing electro-mechanical devices or a similar type FDA regulated medical device strongly preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical tolerance analysis and Designed Experiment Techniques.
  • Design of assemblies, including surface modeling, of injection molded parts on at least two electronics products that successfully reached production.
  • Expert know-how with SolidWorks.
  • High level thermal modeling experience, such as COSMOS or other FEA SW.
