Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at FUJIFILM Sonosite. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing electro-mechanical devices and transducers for our point-of-care ultrasound systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement design specifications, analyses, and recommendations for presentation and approval.
  • Lead and collaborate with other groups/team members to meet schedule and project demands.
  • Conduct independent technical investigations utilizing mechanical engineering principles to originate or modify material, component, or process specifications and requirements.
  • Prepare and present design specifications, analyses, and recommendations for presentation and approval.
Requirements:
  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, M.S. or Ph.D. in a related engineering discipline preferred.
  • Seven or more years of product development experience, with at least five years designing electro-mechanical devices or a similar type FDA-regulated medical device.
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical tolerance analysis and Designed Experiment Techniques.
  • Design of assemblies, including surface modeling, of injection molded parts using internal or external contract design resources.
  • Expert knowledge with SolidWorks.
  • High-level thermal modeling experience, such as COSMOS or other FEA software.
What We Offer:
  • A competitive salary range of $97,000 - $130,000 depending on experience, plus a variable bonus opportunity.
  • A comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, life and company-paid disability insurance, and a 401(k) retirement plan with a 4% automatic company contribution and Fujifilm matching up to 6% of your salary.
  • Paid time off, including up to three weeks of PTO in your first year of employment, with increases based on years of service.
  • Four additional paid days off, based on date of hire in the calendar year, and eight paid holidays per year.
