Purpose and Scope:

Oversee the daily functions of the Logistics Division, which encompasses receiving, processing, and tracking requisitions, managing backorders, overseeing inventory and commodities, conducting research and cataloging, as well as procuring, storing, and distributing materials. This role also involves financial management and accounting duties. Additional responsibilities include planning, directing, controlling, coordinating, and evaluating logistics management operations. Ensure that logistics requirements are met to support the operations of the assigned program.

Essential Responsibilities:

Supervise team members, ensuring they receive adequate training; coordinate, prioritize, and schedule workloads to guarantee timely and effective task completion. ~Monitor and assess staff performance. ~Ensure all logistics services comply with relevant standards and regulations, including NASA, Navy, and federal guidelines; adhere to the Statement of Work (SOW), company policies, procedures, and directives. ~Review and manage budgets for logistics programs and departments, alerting the Logistics Manager of any expenditures and limits. ~Assist in developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to enhance the overall logistics program in alignment with customer initiatives and directives. ~Evaluate departmental procedures for efficiency and effectiveness, recommending new initiatives and methodologies in logistics based on requirements and priorities. ~In the absence of the Logistics Manager, serve as the liaison with contractors and customers for planning, implementing, and coordinating logistics initiatives.

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills and

Abilities Required:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a bachelor's degree in business or a related field is preferred, along with 5 to 6 years of supervisory experience in logistics services, material management, transportation, material handling, or related fields. Military experience is desirable but not mandatory. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential; candidates must possess planning, organizing, and leadership abilities, as well as a valid driver's license. A general understanding of current systems and methodologies is expected. Positions may require the ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and

Mental Demands:

Work is conducted in various settings, including office environments, warehouses, and outdoor locations, with occasional exposure to hazardous materials in proper containers. Regular lifting of up to 50 pounds is required, along with constant visual engagement while reviewing documents, and effective communication skills. Candidates must maintain mental alertness and be able to work under deadlines.



CONUS:
Generally operates in a standard office environment but may require domestic and international travel on short notice, including to austere environments with challenging living conditions.

CONUS:
Some roles may be assigned to overseas locations where living and working conditions could be remote and uncomfortable, involving long hours and exposure to various environmental factors.
