We are collaborating with a prominent engineering design and consulting firm to identify a qualified Geotechnical / Construction Materials Testing Project Manager. Below is a detailed overview of the role and its requirements.

Essential Qualifications for the Geotechnical / CMT Project Manager:

1. Possession of a Professional Engineer (PE) license or the capability to secure one within a six-month timeframe.

2. Experience in shallow and deep foundation assessments, pavement design, and construction materials testing.

3. Leadership experience managing a small team of 2-4 professionals.

4. A maximum of three positions held in the last decade.

Key Responsibilities of the Geotechnical / CMT Project Manager:

  • Engagement in all project phases, including proposal development, field engineering, testing, engineering analysis, report generation, client communication, and invoicing.
  • Conducting technical analysis and preparing reports.
  • Overseeing field personnel.
  • Providing expert consultation for field-related issues.
  • Managing client relationships and project oversight.
  • Performing field evaluations and inspections.
  • Classifying soil types during drilling operations.

Required Qualifications for the Geotechnical / CMT Project Manager:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration or the ability to obtain it within six months is mandatory.
  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The candidate must successfully pass a drug screening, background investigation, and maintain a satisfactory driving record in accordance with company policies.

Technical Skills Expectations:

  • Expertise in shallow and deep foundation analysis.
  • Proficiency in pavement design and analysis.
  • Knowledge of construction materials testing protocols.
  • Familiarity with special inspection procedures and requirements.

Additional Key Requirements:

  • This is a fully in-office position.
  • No sponsorship or visa support will be provided. Corp-to-Corp arrangements are not accepted.
