We are seeking a local Construction Coordinator in Liberty, North Carolina to manage general contractors and subcontractors, testing agencies, budgets, and schedules for specific buildings to support and coordinate the overall completion of the plant construction project. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of construction means and methods, proficient drawing review and field application abilities, and experience with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Project.

Key Responsibilities:

Implement building construction projects to support the site
Coordinate construction scheduling and communication
Manage daily construction and support for construction projects
Coordinate communications between owner, contractor, and firm
May be responsible for estimates, schedules, materials, and purchase orders
Supervise construction activity in the field
Coordinate weekend/shutdown work plans with contractors, facilities, and shops
Work with vendors and contractors to coordinate equipment delivery, installation, and scheduling
Develop project status reports for management review
Monitor equipment installation methods for confirmation that installation meets specifications and drawings

Requirements:

10+ years of experience in industrial building construction projects (greenfield or brownfield)
Associate degree in construction management preferred
Strong technical knowledge of construction means and methods
Proficient drawing review and field application abilities
OSHA 510
Ability to properly manage a construction schedule daily, weekly, and monthly
Competent with Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook
Strong organization and communication skills
Experience with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Project preferred
Automotive building experience, including underground utilities, earthwork, civil, structural steel, building envelope, mechanical, electrical, and building hangover/completion preferred

Physical Demands:

Moving about long distances
Ascending/Descending stairs and ladders
Remaining in a stationary position for a prolonged period
Working in extreme weather
Being exposed to loud noises
Wearing personal protective gear correctly
