We are seeking a Senior Tax Accounting Specialist to play a pivotal role in guiding our clients and supporting our internal teams as we expand in our operations.


In this position, you will be tasked with preparing essential financial documentation for clients, including business and individual tax filings, while gaining exposure to a diverse array of industries.

The Senior Tax Accounting Specialist will collaborate closely with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality services, while also engaging in more intricate areas of taxation and developing supervisory skills in preparation for advancement.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary duties include (but are not limited to):
Prepare tax documentation for partnerships, corporations, and individuals

Prepare federal, state, and local tax filings, extensions, and quarterly estimates for various clients (C-Corp, S-Corp, Partnership, Individual)

Manage special projects including tax audits, transaction structuring, and implementation of tax strategies

Conduct advanced tax research and resolve complex tax challenges

Review tax submissions from junior staff and provide constructive feedback, training, and mentorship

Oversee and manage multiple tax projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to budget and timelines

Establish, nurture, and maintain enduring relationships with clients

Exhibit advanced tax technical knowledge necessary for advising clients and cultivating an area of expertise

Engage in the firm's marketing, recruitment, team-building, and similar initiatives

Develop external relationships aimed at generating referral opportunities

Comply with the firm's policies and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS
Experience

2-3 years in a relevant role

Experience in public accounting or a similar professional services environment preferred

Education

Minimum Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Bachelor's in Accounting (for Audit or Tax)

Master's degree or completion of 150 credits in designated states

License / Certification

Actively pursuing CPA Exam or relevant certification for the respective discipline, if not already attained

Must maintain required Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits annually

Legal / Compliance

Must acknowledge Independence Guidelines and Ethical Standards document

Government engagements require the ability to obtain a security clearance from the United States government
