Role Description:

Master Image Lifecycle Management is a critical aspect of our virtual desktop deployment. We are seeking an experienced Windows Virtual Desktop Engineer to administer, update, and optimize Windows 10/11 Enterprise for our virtual desktop deployment. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of Windows updates, application updates, registry changes, and batch/Powershell script management.

Key Responsibilities:

* Master Image Lifecycle Management
* Administer, update, and optimize Windows 10/11 Enterprise for virtual desktop deployment
* Required experience/skillset includes Windows updates, application updates, registry changes, batch/Powershell script management
* Thorough understanding of the O365 application suite
* Understanding of enterprise management/administration tools, such as Active Directory, group policy objects, MECM, psexec/wmic
* Familiar with AWS Workspaces / AWS Appstream
* Vulnerability Remediation
* Familiar with industry standard security baselines and recommendations (such as CIS, NIST, etc.) and experience implementing and maintaining their recommendations
* Ticket Queue
* Familiar with ticketing systems, incidents/requests, customer service experience and concepts
* Explain steps clearly and in a way anyone could understand
* VMware Horizon Administrator Backup
* Familiar with the Horizon stack - connection server, DEM, UAG, AppVolumes, Horizon Client, their configurations, official documentation and KB's, and where to find such information
* Monitoring tool experience, such as vROPS/vRLI
* Experienced in obtaining support directly from VMware when necessary

Competencies:

* Digital: Windows Virtual Desktop, VMware Cloud On AWS Experience (Years): 8-10
