At Dartmouth Health, we are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Social Worker to join our team. As a Pediatric Social Worker, you will play a vital role in providing assessment, counseling, and resource assistance to patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments of patients and families to identify their needs and develop effective plans to address them.
  • Provide counseling and support to individuals and families to help them cope with social and emotional challenges.
  • Coordinate community resources to ensure patients receive the necessary support and services.
  • Assist families in adapting to complex care needs and linking them to resources outside the community.
  • Provide consultation, assessment, and coordination in cases of suspected child or dependent adult abuse or neglect.
  • Organize support groups to promote social connections and emotional well-being.
  • Document clinical data in the medical record and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) required.
  • Experience in an acute, home care, or ambulatory setting preferred.
  • Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Sound decision-making and judgment.
  • Time management and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to deal with conflict resolution.
  • Comfortable with basic computer skills.
