About the Role

Fiberon Decking is a leading manufacturer of composite decking, railing, and fencing solutions. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Controls Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of innovative projects that support our operational goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Electrical and Controls System Management
    • Oversee the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical and control systems
    • Provide instruction and training to plant personnel on operation, setup, maintenance, and repair of electrical and control systems
    • Identify and implement process improvements to optimize electrical and control systems
  • System Design and Optimization
    • Design, maintain, and optimize Human Machine Interface (HMI) systems
    • Design, maintain, and optimize plant electrical power distribution systems
    • Maintain and optimize controls networks, including DeviceNet, ControlNet, Ethernet, and other industrial communication systems
  • Documentation and Administration
    • Maintain and update documentation for electrical and control systems
    • Manage control system servers, logic controllers, software, and backup systems
    • Administer automation control system hardware, network, and software
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in instrumentation, electrical, and controls maintenance in a continuous process manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • 5+ years of programming experience with Allen Bradley ControlLogix and PLC 5 platforms
  • Knowledge and demonstrated use of industrial communication systems, including Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, Modbus, and BackNet
  • Knowledge and demonstrated use of Rockwell Applications Software suite, including RSLogix, RSLinx, RSNetworx, and other related software
  • Proficient use of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office software
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
