Pediatric Neurologist/Epileptologist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Neurologist/Epileptologist to join our team at Denver Health. As a leading academic health care system, we provide comprehensive care to our patients and are committed to excellence in patient care, education, and research.

Job Summary

The Department of Inpatient Pediatrics at Denver Health is seeking a full-time Pediatric Neurologist/Epileptologist to join our program. As a teaching affiliate of the University of Colorado School of Medicine, our inpatient pediatric services are staffed by residents from Children's Hospital Colorado, and all of our faculty have academic appointments. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical care to pediatric patients with neurological disorders, including epilepsy, and will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.

Responsibilities
  • Treat seizures, muscle problems, headaches, behavioral disorders, malformations, genetic conditions, autoimmune problems, tumors, and any other symptoms resulting from neurological problems.
  • Order and interpret necessary tests, advise parents and caregivers of outcomes and possible treatments.
  • Collaborate with other specialists to provide the highest level of care.
Requirements
  • Board Certification/Eligibility in Pediatric Neurology; fellowship training in Pediatric Epileptology required.
  • A passion for caring for medically underserved patients in a resource-limited practice setting.
  • Excellent clinical teaching and mentorship skills.
  • Experience in quality improvement, patient safety, and/or clinical research methodology with demonstrated areas of interest.
  • BLS and PALS certification.
