Hotel Cleanliness Specialist Job Overview

The Hotel Cleanliness Specialist is a critical role within our housekeeping team at Hilton Garden Inn Anchorage. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital part in ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our hotel rooms and common areas.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented individual to join our housekeeping team as a Hotel Cleanliness Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting guest rooms to ensure that all standards are met, checking common areas for order and cleanliness, and assisting the Housekeeping Manager and Supervisor with monthly inventories. Additionally, you will be responsible for breaking down inventory from our property management system to distribute fair and equal guest rooms among room attendants, assisting room attendants with cleaning and stripping of guest rooms, and performing other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect guest rooms once cleaned to ensure all standards are in place.
  • Check common areas to ensure order and cleanliness.
  • Assist Housekeeping Manager and Housekeeping Supervisor with monthly inventories.
  • Breakout boards from our property management system to disperse fair and equal guest rooms for room attendants.
  • Assist room attendants with cleaning and stripping of guest rooms.
  • Cleaning guest rooms as assigned/needed, which includes making beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming, and washing windows, tracks, and other cleanliness duties. Report maintenance deficiencies.
  • Check carts and assist in stocking as needed.
  • Greet all guests immediately with friendly/sincere acknowledgement.
  • Strip dirty linens, remove trash, and removed used amenities from guest room suites.
  • Assist in laundry as needed, which includes stripping, folding, washing, and delivering of linens.
  • Respond quickly and efficiently to special requests by guests.
  • Ensure and inspect that all rooms comply with brand standards.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Skill Requirements

This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. You must be able to arrive on time and follow instructions effectively. Additionally, you should have the physical ability to move large objects such as carts, large bags of linen, and ironing boards, and operate cleaning equipment like vacuum cleaners, brooms, and spray bottles. Your ability to read and recognize room numbers, communicate effectively with guests and associates, and learn, follow, and enforce standards for cleanliness is also essential. Salary and Benefits

We offer an estimated annual salary of $40,000 - $50,000, depending on experience, as well as comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision and life insurance, short- and long-term disability, 401(k), FSA, employee discounts, and more.
