Job Responsibilities

The Technician will:
  • Perform all job functions in a safe manner.
  • Perform, as required, with proper training and per established procedures of all aspects of repair and overhaul work on offshore drilling equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Adhere to all company quality related policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to risk assessments and toolbox talks.
  • Ensure timesheets and inspection reports are completed accurately and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Carry out Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT's) to company standards.
  • Be able to operate forklifts, cranes, and vertical lift platforms when trained.
  • Attend meetings and training courses as required.
  • Subscribe to, and comply with, company HSSE guidelines.
  • Report and participate in investigation of all unsafe practices and/or behaviors.
  • Suggest improvements to working practices and HMH product lines.
  • Carry out QC checks at Goods In point as and when required.
  • Ensure adherence to all local waste management policies and procedures.
  • All personnel are responsible for the immediate reporting of any leaks/spills to Workshop Supervisor.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a recognized technical degree for college/university or high school diploma or equivalent with 7 years' experience in overhaul, troubleshooting, and repairs of hydraulic/mechanical offshore drilling equipment. Alternatively, a minimum of 5 years' experience in overhaul, troubleshooting, and repairs of hydraulic/mechanical offshore drilling equipment is required. The candidate should demonstrate knowledge of mechanical or hydraulic systems and be able to read schematic and layout drawings. Excellent organization and follow-up skills are essential, as well as the ability to read, write, and comprehend English.
