We are seeking a highly skilled Anesthesia Technician III to join our team at Texas Children's Hospital. As an Anesthesia Technician III, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient administration of anesthesia to our patients.
Responsibilities:- Assist licensed anesthesia providers in the acquisition, preparation, and application of equipment and supplies required for anesthesia administration.
- Contribute to safe and efficient anesthesia care by preparing and maintaining patient monitoring devices and anesthesia delivery systems.
- Provide support to anesthesia in routine and complex surgical cases, including General, CV, and Cath Lab cases.
- Prepare and set up equipment, including patient monitoring devices and anesthesia delivery systems.
- Troubleshoot and correct equipment problems, and perform complete standard Anesthesia Apparatus checkout.
- Assist in the preparation and draping of patient invasive monitoring/procedures, and clean and restock anesthesia machines.
- Stock operating rooms, specialty carts, anesthesia carts, equipment rooms, and remote anesthesia areas with disposable/reusable supplies used by anesthesia.
- Supervise the maintenance of anesthesia equipment, and inventory and stock anesthesia supplies consistent with departmental demands.
- H.S. Diploma or GED
- Preferred Licenses/Certifications: BLS - Cert-Basic Life Support by the American Heart Association, CER-A-T - Cert-Cert Anesthesia TECH by the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists (ASATT), Associate's Degree - Completion of an anesthesia technician training program approved by the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians (ASATT)
- Required 5 years of Anesthesia Technician experience, Cardiovascular and/or cath lab experience preferred
