CAPI, a prominent nonprofit organization, is seeking a committed Financial & Homeownership Services Coach to enhance our Economic Empowerment team.

About CAPI: CAPI is dedicated to guiding refugees and immigrants on their path to self-sufficiency. Annually, we serve over 7,000 new arrivals, and we take pride in being an inclusive, multilingual, and immigrant-led nonprofit. Our core service areas—Basic Needs, Economic Empowerment, and Civic Engagement—offer comprehensive support to Minnesota's diverse communities, including Asian, East and West African, Latinx, and underserved US-born populations.

Your Role: As a Financial & Homeownership Services Coach, you will be instrumental in aiding individuals and families in reaching their financial aspirations. • Support CAPI's civic engagement initiatives, empowering our community through voter registration, outreach, and advocacy efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Education & Experience: A 2-year degree with 2 years of relevant experience, or 4+ years of experience in financial services or homeownership coaching.
  • Skills & Abilities: Bilingual in English and Spanish is essential. Familiarity with financial and homeownership programs, budgeting, and credit building is required. Strong communication, project management, and cultural competency skills are crucial.
  • Certifications: A valid MN Driver's License and a commitment to obtaining HUD certification and other pertinent financial counseling certifications within the first year of employment.

Why Work with CAPI?

  • Meaningful Impact: Join a team that is genuinely making a difference in the lives of immigrants and refugees.
  • Diverse & Inclusive Culture: Engage in a multicultural environment that values diversity and promotes inclusivity.
  • Opportunities for Growth: Benefit from professional development and certification opportunities in financial counseling and homeownership education.
  • Flexible Work Hours: Enjoy a role that may include occasional evening and weekend hours, providing flexibility in your schedule.
