As a Manager on the Baker Tilly Municipal Advisory team, you will play a pivotal role in assisting local governments to develop and implement financing strategies to foster economic growth, job creation, and community development.

You will work closely with public officials, community leaders, and stakeholders to provide expert guidance and actionable recommendations.

Key responsibilities include analyzing projects to incorporate tax increment financing and tax abatement, cash flow analysis, needs analysis data analysis, strategic planning, and project management.

You will also assist public sector entities on their public finance and housing/economic development needs while managing several projects simultaneously.

Additional responsibilities include providing guidance on various financial matters, including debt issuance, capital planning, and fiscal policy development.

You will work closely with clients to help them navigate complex financial issues and make well-informed decisions that support the financial health and stability of their municipalities.

As a Manager, you will have the opportunity to learn and grow from direct on-the-job coaching and mentoring, as well as participating in firm-wide learning and development programs.

You will also utilize your entrepreneurial skills to network and build strong relationships internally and externally with clients.

Occasional travel and mostly same-day travel within the state are required.

You will serve on client projects and assist in the management of client relationships.

Key qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or public administration, with an MBA/MPA desirable but not required.

Five plus years of economic development experience with a local government, economic development agency, or in economic development consulting are required.

Strong understanding of economic development principles, practices, and policies, as well as experience reviewing or creating developer pro formas, are also required.

Proficiency in data analysis and the use of economic modeling tools, knowledge of public sector operations, and demonstrated management, analytical, organization, interpersonal, project management, communication skills, and highly developed Microsoft Suite skills are also required.

Ability to provide exceptional client service, demonstrate commitment to continuous learning, and exhibit a sense of urgency and commitment to quality and the timely completion of duties are also required.
