Compensation: $18/hr. - $23/hr. Based on experience



Location: Onsite role



Required Qualifications: CMA Certification, BLS Certification

Additional Considerations: Dependable individual with a strong attendance record, ability to integrate into the organizational culture, focus on administrative tasks within CMA roles



Job Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of a physician, you will assist in providing healthcare services to patients.

Your duties will encompass a variety of patient care tasks, including but not limited to maintaining clinical documentation, administering medications, providing injections, and monitoring vital signs.



Patient Monitoring:

- Maintain vital signs, chief complaints, allergies, and medication lists.

- Understand organizational policies and procedures for patient care.

- Accurately document patient information in compliance with established protocols.

- Observe patients' physical conditions and report any abnormalities to the healthcare provider.

- Gather medical histories and record vital signs.



Medication Administration:

- Administer routine oral, rectal, or injectable medications.

- Comprehend the principles of safe and accurate medication administration.

- Follow the five rights of medication administration: right patient, right medication, right dose, right route, right time.

- Recognize and report adverse reactions.

- Prepare and administer medications as instructed by the physician.



Patient Testing:

- Complete all necessary steps for routine patient testing, including electrocardiograms and specimen collection.



Procedure Assistance:

- Prepare examination rooms by ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and functional.

- Clean and disinfect rooms and equipment according to established protocols.

- Assist in preparing patients for tests, procedures, and x-rays.

- Perform tasks such as removing sutures and changing dressings.



Administrative Duties:

- Perform clerical functions related to patient care in an outpatient setting.

- Utilize patient care scheduling systems effectively.

- Enter patient-related data into the management system accurately.

- Interpret and input patient orders as needed.



Relationship Management:

- Maintain effective relationships with patients and medical staff.

- Observe and report any changes in patients' conditions to the appropriate healthcare provider.



Skills and Abilities:

- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

- Knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques.

- Familiarity with medical equipment and instruments.

- Proficiency in computer usage, including email and web-based applications.

- Understanding of insurance information retrieval.

- Ability to identify issues and propose solutions.

- Commitment to service excellence and quality care.

- Awareness of potential exposure to chemical and radiation hazards.
