Position Summary:

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer with a robust background in manufacturing. The successful candidate will possess substantial experience in Quality Control and Assurance, demonstrating a strong commitment to upholding high standards. This position entails the development of quality protocols, collaboration with various departments to drive continuous improvements, and leadership of the on-site Quality team to ensure compliance with established processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspections and analyze data to enhance the Quality Management Systems (QMS) and ensure adherence to industry regulations.
  • Perform regular audits to pinpoint areas for enhancement and confirm compliance with established protocols.
  • Oversee and document quality assurance procedures, including operational guidelines and work instructions.
  • Assess and refine manufacturing processes utilizing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Root Cause Analysis methodologies.
  • Implement corrective measures to address quality concerns and improve process efficiency.
  • Establish and maintain quality assurance protocols and inspection methodologies.
  • Work collaboratively with teams to integrate quality standards throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Engage with suppliers and customers to resolve quality-related issues.
  • Facilitate training on quality assurance processes and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities to identify trends and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Meticulous attention to detail to ensure consistent adherence to quality standards.
  • Proficient in interpreting engineering schematics and applying Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles.
  • Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs), 3D CAD models, and AS9102 First Article Inspections.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Outstanding organizational and time management abilities.

Educational Background:

  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience in quality assurance/control.
  • 3-5 years of experience in quality engineering within the manufacturing sector.
  • Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, AS9120, or ISO13485).
  • Knowledge of process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and utilization of quality control tools.
