Position Overview

Legrand is thrilled to present an opportunity for a Control Systems Applications Specialist to become part of our esteemed Building Control Systems Wattstopper Team. This role focuses on delivering pre-sales project support, application expertise, and product specifications for a diverse array of Wattstopper offerings.

Key Responsibilities

As a Control Systems Applications Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include:
  • Assessing project lighting control requirements to ensure all objectives are fulfilled.
  • Providing engineering support for Wattstopper lighting control solutions, including but not limited to Architectural Dimming Systems, Ethernet, BACnet, and Niagara networks.
  • Conducting internal and external training sessions on Building Automation Systems (BAS) networks and functionalities.
  • Offering application engineering assistance, which encompasses design, development of operational sequences, programming for control systems, and related tasks.
  • Reviewing electrical schematics and specifications to align with specific Wattstopper products and project documentation.
  • Creating and validating custom solutions from the standard product range.
  • Overseeing the generation of submittals, control programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting for Wattstopper systems.
  • Supporting the sales team and contributing to the quotation process.
  • Engaging in Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Performing additional related duties as required.

Qualifications

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Experience:
A minimum of 3 years of experience in Electrical or HVAC control systems, with proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Bluebeam.

Skills and Competencies:
  • In-depth knowledge of control systems, including dimming, energy management, and lighting controls.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities coupled with effective communication skills.
  • A collaborative team player who is also a self-starter, requiring minimal oversight.
  • Willingness to travel for training and support as necessary.
