Position Overview
The Human Resources Benefits Manager oversees the operational management of employee compensation and benefits programs at Shore Medical Center. The final title, responsibilities, and reporting structure may be adjusted based on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the administration of all compensation and benefits programs, including Total Rewards, Retirement Plans, Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and Voluntary Insurance benefits.
- Regularly evaluate and analyze program outcomes, providing reports to leadership on findings.
- Advise leadership proactively on compensation and benefits strategies that align with the Medical Center's objectives.
- Oversee the annual Open Enrollment process to ensure smooth execution.
- Ensure accuracy and currency of benefit plan documentation, including contracts and insurance policies.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of applicable federal, state, and local laws, including COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, and other regulations governing benefit plans.
- Direct the preparation and dissemination of information to employees regarding benefits programs, including insurance and retirement plans.
- Manage inquiries and issues related to benefits to ensure timely and equitable resolutions.
- Supervise the administration of employee retirement plans.
- Conduct regular market analysis to ensure competitive compensation and benefits offerings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a related business field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Benefits Administration is required.
- 5 years of experience in Total Rewards/Compensation analysis is preferred.
- Experience with Defined Contribution and Defined Benefit plans is essential.
- Knowledge of government regulations affecting benefit plans, including ACA and ERISA.
- Preferred certifications include CEBS and SHRM.
- Strong skills in computer usage, written and verbal communication, and organizational abilities.
