Position Overview
The Employee Benefits Administration Manager is responsible for overseeing the operational management of compensation and benefits programs for the workforce and retirees at Shore Medical Center.

Role Responsibilities
This position entails the effective administration of all compensation and benefits initiatives, including but not limited to Total Rewards, Retirement Plans, Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and Voluntary Insurance offerings.

Key Duties Include:

  • Regular evaluation and analysis of program outcomes, with results reported to leadership.
  • Proactively advising management on compensation and benefits strategies that align with the organization's objectives.
  • Managing the annual Open Enrollment process.
  • Ensuring that all benefit plan documentation, including contracts and insurance policies, is accurate and reflects the organization's intentions.
  • Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of relevant federal, state, and local laws, including COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, and other regulations governing benefit plans.
  • Reviewing and analyzing changes to state and federal legislation affecting benefits.
  • Directing the preparation and dissemination of information to educate employees about benefits programs.
  • Overseeing the resolution of benefit inquiries to ensure timely and courteous responses.
  • Administering employee retirement plans.
  • Conducting regular market trend analyses to ensure competitive compensation and benefits packages.

Qualifications
A Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a related business field is required, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Benefits Administration. Experience in Total Rewards and Compensation analysis is preferred, as is familiarity with D.C. and D.B. plans. Knowledge of government regulations regarding benefit plans, including ACA and ERISA, is essential. CEBS and SHRM certifications are advantageous. Strong computer skills, along with excellent written and verbal communication abilities, are necessary.
