Job SummaryThe Student Financial Services Customer Support Specialist is a key member of the Bay Path University team, responsible for managing the tuition deferment application process for students utilizing tuition reimbursement with their employer. This role requires excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the tuition deferment application process, including reviewing student applications, generating invoices and manual bills, and ensuring timely payment of tuition.
- Provide exceptional customer service to students and parents, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a prompt and professional manner.
- Reconcile delinquent student accounts, track correspondence between the Student Financial Services Office and students/parents, and maintain accurate records of tuition deferment applications and student correspondence.
- Assist with a variety of office support functions, including creating reports, tracking delinquent accounts, and responding to emails.
- Perform necessary follow-up for missing information, troubleshoot problem areas related to student aid documents, and interface with campus and off-campus departments to correct issues.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- High level of organization and analytical ability.
- Experience with high call volume and analytical and reconciliation skills.
- Ability to perform with high quality and minimal errors, as well as excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible and extended schedule, including weekends when necessary.
