Job Summary

A skilled Automotive Technician is needed to join our team at Pep Boys-Manny, Moe & Jack of Delaware, Inc. Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair vehicle systems, including brake and hydraulic, exhaust, fuel ignition, and electrical systems
  • Perform job duties of lower-level technicians, including Technician B, Mechanic, and General Service Technician
  • Communicate technical diagnoses and repairs to non-technical individuals, including employees and customers
  • Continuously learn new technical information and techniques to stay up-to-date with rapidly changing automotive technology
  • Assist fellow technicians and mechanics in performing technical activities
  • Maintain a clean and organized shop, adhering to all company policies and procedures
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of strong automotive mechanical diagnosis, problem-solving, and repair experience
  • 4 or more ASE certifications (A4 Steering and Suspension, A5 Brakes, and 2 from A1 Engine Repair, A6 Electrical, A7 HVAC, A8 Engine Performance, L1 Advanced Engine Performance)
  • Section 609 certification required
  • State Inspection license if applicable
  • High level of motivation, energy, and customer-focused attitude
  • Valid driver's license
Physical Demands

The physical demands of this role include frequent lifting, carrying, and placing merchandise and supplies up to 50 pounds without assistance, as well as frequent standing and walking for long periods of time.
