Business Legal Research Analyst

The Business Legal Research Analyst plays a vital role in supporting attorneys, paralegals, and staff by conducting in-depth research across various legal and business topics. This includes intellectual property, corporate law, public records, and legislative history.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate research inquiries and determine the most efficient resources
  • Communicate findings clearly and effectively

The Analyst must stay updated on industry developments through ongoing professional education and align with specific practice groups to address their resource needs.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree and an M.L.S., M.L.I.S., or equivalent from an American Library Association-accredited institution
  • Minimum of three years of experience conducting legal research, preferably in a law firm
  • Proficiency in research platforms such as Westlaw, Lexis, and Bloomberg Law
  • Strong analytical skills, highly service-oriented, and adaptable to new tools and technologies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with attorneys and staff in a fast-paced environment
