Overview

At DAVITA, we are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Senior Clinical Nurse Specialist in Acute Nephrology. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic hospital setting, providing lifesaving care to patients dealing with chronic kidney disease.

Salary

The estimated salary for this position is between $83,000 and $113,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. Additionally, DaVita offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match, paid time off, and more.

About the Role

As a Senior Clinical Nurse Specialist in Acute Nephrology, you will be responsible for overseeing patient treatment plans, utilizing diverse nursing skills in a dynamic team environment, and adapting to variable schedules based on patient needs. You will work closely with interdisciplinary teams to provide high-quality care to patients undergoing hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), and apheresis.

  • You will conduct patient observations, measuring vital signs and machine setup, and oversee a group of patients with the support of PCTs.
  • With opportunities for training in various renal therapies, you will contribute directly to lifesaving care through both scheduled shifts and on-call responsibilities.
  • You will work daily in a hospital setting, delivering dialysis to patients at a contracted healthcare system, and become an integral part of both the hospital and DaVita team.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • An Associates Degree in Nursing (A.D.N) from an accredited school of nursing, or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N).
  • Experience in Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Critical Care Unit (CCU), Emergency Room (ER), or Medical Surgical (Med Surg) environments, or certification in nephrology nursing (CNN or CDN).
