Job Summary

Kadant Johnson LLC is seeking a seasoned professional to fill the role of Field Services Manager. This position is responsible for leading all field service activities, mechanical and technical, performed at corrugated packaging plants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee all field service activities, including mechanical and technical services, at corrugated packaging plants.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of third-party contractors and service technicians.
  • Assist customers with troubleshooting, develop scope of work, and prepare and issue quotes for service work.
  • Collaborate with engineering, systems, service, project management, and commercial functions to ensure successful implementation of solutions.
  • Develop and implement best product guidelines, including documentation of standard equipment configurations, interpretation of drawings, and creation of legible sketches of customer equipment.
Requirements
  • Minimum of ten years of experience working in the corrugated packaging industry at a box plant or for a contractor/supplier that supports the corrugated packaging industry.
  • Mechanical knowledge of corrugator equipment and ability to identify problems and opportunities.
  • Ability to work independently, communicate effectively, and plan and provide sound technical solutions.
  • Comfortable performing multi-faceted tasks and adapting to changing priorities.
  • Supervisory experience, including hiring, staff performance evaluation, and people development.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Millwright or pipefitter experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 50-75% of the time, including short notice trips, weekends, and occasional holidays based on customer needs.
