Job Summary:

Foxdale Village, a non-profit life plan community, is seeking a full-time Dining Services Hospitality Lead to join our dedicated team. As a key member of our dining services team, you will be responsible for creating exceptional dining experiences for our residents and guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate catering schedules and ensure timely setup, delivery, and service of functions.
  • Arrange tables and decorations, and set buffet tables with food, beverage, and service items according to established standards.
  • Deliver food and beverage to catered functions and promote a high level of customer service satisfaction.
  • Interact with customers, resolve complaints, and relay concerns to supervisors.
  • Manage multiple tasks, utilize excellent time management and organizational skills, and coach staff to work efficiently.
  • Ensure proper presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures, and maintain sanitation and orderliness of equipment, supplies, and utensils.
  • Support the training of staff and provide input to training plans, performance evaluations, and related activities.

Requirements:

  • High school education or GED, related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Supervisory or team lead experience in food service is required.
  • Wait staff or related experience is beneficial.

Physical Demands:

  • Regularly required to stand, talk, or hear, and taste or smell.
  • Frequently required to walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally required to sit.
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and may occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Language Skills:

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.

Work Environment:

  • Frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts.
  • Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, extreme cold, extreme heat, risk of electrical shock, and vibration.

Additional Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license may be required.
  • Must possess or able to obtain within six months of hire ServeSafe Certification.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Position requires strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to outstanding customer service for both residents and staff is required.
