Food Services Manager

Job Description:
Campus Retail Dining, a dynamic customer service-orientated team at Penn State University, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Services Manager to lead the management of a high-volume Starbucks licensed store located on Penn State's University Park Campus.
The selected candidate will be responsible for managing, hiring, training, coaching, supervising, mentoring, scheduling, disciplining, and evaluating both full and part-time employees, including leading the store's operations, customer satisfaction, product quality, ordering, financial performance, delegation of routine tasks appropriately, reviewing completed work of others, and team development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implementing on-going training and marketing initiatives according to the national brand marketing calendar.
- Assisting in the financial success of the unit through cost containment and maximization of revenue by driving sales in creative and unique approaches.
- Maintaining the highest level of food handling and sanitation under ServSafe standards.
- Maximizing excellent communication and interpersonal skills, being friendly, outgoing, and giving top priority to customer satisfaction.
- Under management guidance and direction, researching, developing, marketing, and implementing new products, menus, recipes, and concepts.
- Meeting with special event and catering customers; managing, planning, and executing functions to customer satisfaction.
- Following Collective Bargaining Agreement provisions; participating in grievance procedures, hearings, and arbitrations as required.
- Participating in departmental and University-wide initiatives and committees; completing special projects and reports as assigned.
Requirements:
A minimum requirement is a Bachelor's Degree plus six (6) years of relevant experience. Or, an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Salary Range:
The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is: $46,400.00 - $67,300.00
