Electrical Hardware Development Engineer II

Amazon is seeking an experienced Electrical Hardware Development Engineer II to support the development and testing of power electronics hardware and related electrical power systems for Prime Air Drones.
This includes batteries, battery chargers, DC-DC converters, DC-AC inverters, motor controllers, and power distribution & protection systems.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with experience in power electronics hardware development and testing.
Responsibilities include:
- Design and develop test fixtures and setups for components, hardware, and system test.
- Generate schematics and other conformity documentation for test fixtures and systems.
- Support engineering and interact with suppliers/partners on validation/verification of critical components hardware from concept to mass production.
- Support development of hardware, component, and system-level test plans/procedures/reports.
Requirements include:
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology.
- Minimum 2+ years' experience developing and testing power electronics hardware, batteries, and electrical power systems.
- Understanding of power semiconductor switches and diodes, and their characteristics.
- Experience with software tools such as Spice, PLECS, Python, and Matlab.
