Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Student Nutrition Associate. This role involves assisting in food preparation, setting up food serving lines, and adhering to standardized recipes and production records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in food preparation and setup of food serving lines
  • Handle food allergens and various meat products
  • Serve food in correct portions and adhere to production records and standardized recipes
  • Assist in clean up and maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
  • Perform Point of Sale (POS) procedures as assigned
  • Adhere to District's HACCP plan and maintain a safe and healthy food environment
  • Support and promote the meal programs offered at the site
  • Perform other tasks within the level of responsibilities indicated above as assigned by supervisor
Requirements
  • Experience in a public school kitchen and/or background in related food service operations
  • Knowledge of government guidelines and procedures concerning sanitation and safety
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Must have completed or be willing to enroll and complete the Sanitation and Safety and the School Nutrition Programs courses for Minnesota School Food Services Certification
  • Computer skills and experience or willingness to learn
  • Regular, on-time attendance is required
  • Ability to lift 31-50 lbs
